New Cattle Arrivals

We have new arrivals on the farm - our Square Meater cattle. These are an Australian breed of cattle that derive from the Murray Grey.  We have selected this type of cattle to test their ability on our pasture based grazing system.  They are smaller in frame and this is one of the key breed characteristics I was looking for, as smaller framed cattle have a genetic advantage in a grass based system.

They grow extremely fast and can cater for both yearling produce or kept for a later, more mature-type of beef.  The first steers should be ready in a few months and we can't wait to try them out and also share this pasture raised beef all our customers.
