Gone Fishing

Almost one year has passed since I put Murray Cod fingerlings in my dam. I knew it would be a two year investment until I could hope to harvest fresh fish, although the urge to see if there was anything there came over me and so I pulled out the rod and gave it a try.

Unfortunately there were no bites today ... Perhaps it was the fake lures, perhaps it was my poor technique, but one area of concern did creep into my mind - what if there are no fish in here? What if they died? What if they all washed out during the heavy rains in winter?

One thing is for sure - I'm going to get serious about my fishing until I know for certain if there are any fish in there.
