Winter Warmth

I really enjoy the winter, well, provided I have a wood heater I can thaw with when I need to. So today is time to cut some wood to make sure that happens this year. It has been a busy early morning, sharpening the chain, making sure I have plenty of fuel and oil needed for the days cutting.

I chose a well seasoned tree that had fallen about six years ago and began cutting. We have mainly River Redgum, Box and Stringy Bark trees on the property.

Just before lunch, the cows came by to say hello and this little guy got rather curious about what I was doing.

I love the curiosity of cows, it's such a likeable part of their nature.

At least I know this guy will be easy to load onto the stock trailer when the time comes.
